Lempi Ikonen

Biography

Lempi Koponen (they/them) is an queer and disabled artist and activist who works with dance, performance, film and activism. Their work aims for their own pleasure and becoming visible as fully as they need both for themselves and others, while trying to have critical discussions with institutions around topics of disability. They prefer playfulness, emotions and learning in their work. 

Their bachelor’s portfolio was about disability as a political identity, institutions responsibilities for forming it and activism in institutions.
