Avgoustina Triarou

Biography

Avgoustina Triarou is a dance artist and choreographer from Cyprus. She has worked in Cyprus and abroad as a performer and creator, with experiences including Konin Dance Theatre (Poland), the International Contemporary Dance program at Nuova Officina Della Danza (Italy), the Erasmus+ “Dance More” program (Sweden), and the Next Generation LAB with Jill Crovisier (Liechtenstein). Her practice focuses on the body as a site of thinking, transformation, and resistance, currently working with states of uncontrollability, disorientation and instability. She is interested in how somatic processes can re-pattern perception and activate new relational modes of being.
