Biografia

Altınay is a dance maker/artist and performer based in Helsinki and Istanbul. She characterizes her artistic approach briefly as “the choreography formed by the accompaniment partnering of the limbs and language.” and intensifies the concepts of memory, time and space, common consciousness, relationships and ambivalence. She combines nonwestern and western dance techniques/traditions through the body, consciousness, language triangle and continues to research, experiment and create artistic projects.
