My given name is Tina Jeranko, I am a performance artist with Slovenian roots now integrating into the Helsinki art scene. Parallel to performing I share my practice in the form of workshops on voice, physical, and social coordination within space, accessible for more and less performing bodies. I research voice and its concept through the field of translation between thought, verbal language, emotional language, and physical language in a given social, cultural, and political space.
Before going Finnish I was going Dutch, where I graduated in Fine Arts at the Royal Academy of Art The Hague (NL), and continued exhibiting, performing, and collaborating with other artists at various venues in The Hague, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Tilburg. Currently working towards a Master’s in Live Art and Performance Studies at UniArts Helsinki, I am carrying out a durational performance focused on garment performativity in relation to identity construction by weekly dressing up.
