Matilda Edlund

Matilda Edlund is a dancer from Helsinki, and she is currently doing her BA in dance at the Theatre Academy. Before her current studies, she explored the endless possibilities of movement at Riveria’s dance education in Outokumpu, from where she graduated in 2021. She was originally driven to dance by deep curiosity and a desire to thoroughly understand life and humanity. A few questions that Matilda has been wondering about lately: How to live and make art with compassion? What or who is the body? Is language a bodily event? How can it become part of my dance? How to connect with other lifeforms? How to strengthen one’s sensibility to all the dance that is already happening? And how are all these things connected?
