Heini Hermunen

I am a dancer, performer and writer based in Helsinki. My artistic interest lays on embodiment as well as the cultural politics as research and critique of the public space and normativity. I work interdisciplinary by using mixed medias as written text,  visual arts  and live-performing body. As a facilitator I do art activism by co-facilitating anti-capitalistic and non-profit improvisation jams in Helsinki.

My work is queer gazed by playing with the themes as non-binary, polyamorous and eco-romanticism. The values of de-colonialism, inclusivity and environmental responsibility are especially important to me.
